Fyl’s gluten steak

Ingredients for the broth:

9 cups water
1 onion, chopped
1 small green pepper, chopped
6 cloves of garlic, crushed
2 packets of George Washington broth
2 Tbsp McKay’s chicken seasoning
2 Tbsp McKay’s beef seasoning
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 to 3 Tbsp yeast extract
1 Tbsp salt

Cook all of the above well till flavors are blended before beginning the steaks. Remove 3 cups for the steaks. Let the rest of the broth simmer while you work on the steaks

Ingredients for the steaks

3 cups broth, cooled down
1 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup chick pea flour
1 cup brewer’s yeast
2 1/2 to 3 cups gluten flour.

Mix all the steak ingredients, except gluten flour. Add as much gluten flour as needed to get the texture you need. Make into steaks and drop into simmering broth. Cook for 1 hour, more or less.
