chocolate-espresso bars

Crust:
1 cup butter, softened (not melted)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt

Filling:
1 can condensed milk
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla
2 Tbsp espresso coffee powder (instant coffee is a good substitute)

Topping:
1 cup chopped toasted almonds

Mix ingredients for crust together and press into 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees till golden brown. Cool. Melt condensed milk and chocolate chips in microwave for about a minute. Add vanilla and espresso powder. Stir well. Spread over crust. Sprinkle with nuts. Chill. Cut into squares.
